Mytags this week are based on an Aesop's Fable.
“One day a countrymangoing to the nest of his Goose found there an egg all yellow and glittering. When he took it up it was as heavy as lead and he was going to throw it away, because he thought a trick had been played upon him. But he took it home onsecond thoughts, and soon found to his delight that it was an egg of pure gold.Every morning the same thing occurred, and he soon became rich by selling hiseggs. As he grew rich he grew greedy;and thinking to get at once all the gold the Goose could give, he killed it andopened it only to find nothing.”
The maintag is a watercolour painting of the goose, and beside her on the ground is asingle golden egg. This is a real gold egg because it isfinished with 9 ct gold leaf!Thisphoto shows ten golden egg tags, all finished with various gold embellishments. Making these was my Mother’s Day activitywith Laura, my 22 year old daughter –it was the first time we’d done something crafty together for years because shehas been away at University, so thank you Carolyn for giving us thisopportunity to play together, We had great fun!
I like all the eggs here in an egg box because they all reflect off each other.
