Easter

I wanted to try and convey what Easter means to me, so I created a double layer tag. One part represents Good Friday - watching the crucifixion scene from Jesus of Nazareth was the moment I decided to be a Christian, thinking that Jesus loved me enough to go through that for me. The other part of the tag represents Easter Sunday - it's about the joy and happiness that comes with the resurrection. For both tags I used watercolour pencils. The cross is made from brown parcel paper, and I used gel pens for the details.
I hope everyone enjoys the Easter weekend, and for those who gave up chocolate for Lent - not long now, enjoy those Easter Eggs!

  10. I really like the concept of the two sides - reflecting on Good Friday and rejoicing on Easter Sunday. It is a wonderful artistic reminder to think of what Easter really means.
