Spring Cleaning
I have been thinking about Spring Cleaning all week. I didn't do any cleaning and didn't make a tag ... until this morning. This tag is the result of a friend's spring cleaning. She was cleaning up her stash and was throwing away incomplete patchwork samples. I rescued this piece - machine stitched a cobweb and added a metal spider. I thought the patchworked pattern looked a little like a house, overtaken by a big cobweb???

Toooo cute 4 words!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love other people's patchwork discards!! I have a whole bag that I either need to finish or get rid of.
Hi Wilma, what a coincidence I am taking a craft class today at a day care centre and we are doing a patchwork design on the front of a book.
ReplyDeleteCome back to my blog later to see what we did.
I am going to show them your tag.
Best wishes
Lynn

So clever Wilma, it does look just like a house, very clever interpretation, I don't like thinking about spring cleaning either! X
ReplyDeleteVery nice! The spiderweb is perfect!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous and so original ... wowee!!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of you friends patchwork samples, especially as they were the result of a 'spring clean' I love the way you have put the pieces together to form a house, love your spiderweb :)
ReplyDeleteI love the web and spider! And the destash/spring cleaning by your friend lending itself to your own spring cleaning project is a wonderful bit of kismet and symbolism too... "One man's trash is another man's treasure" ;)
ReplyDeleteI just love your tag! So original!

A great tag, love the spiders web and the idea of the patchwork looking like a little house. Love the quote in the magazine or whatever you used for the photo too!
