Baking

Ruth's Molasses Cookies
Baking is something I like to do.  I especially loved to make molasses cookies for my Grandpa Elmer who lived to be 104 years old.  These cookies are soft and get for dunking, which he liked.  The recipe I copied long ago for my mom.(Ruth was her dear friend).  I'm the keeper of  Mom's three recipe boxes.  This recipe holds fond memories for me...three souls I dearly loved.  So here is my simple tag.  Enjoy!  And, if you try the recipe, let me know how you liked the cookies.

  1. Really nice tag! I love the "old-fashioned" measurements. I have one from an aunt that reads: tablespoon of oleo, not level, not real heaping.

  6. LOVE!!!!.. I have a recipe for molasses cookies, and it is a FAVORITE of mine.. In fact, I've been meaning to make them for about TWO WEEKS now! Funny too, that I use this same brand of molasses! (and I admit I bought it for the label! So darn CUTE!)... Love the gingham background and ribbon! Very nice tag, and have a great week! ~tina
