Sewing
My first tag was completely done by hand: a small lover's cottage with a flowering vine over its bright yellow door.
My mother came to help me out after my back surgery. She though that doing one using the old saying "A stitch in time saves 9", so I made one for her. Even though the first tag was far more time intensive, I prefer this tag. The background is a sewing machine ad from the April 27, 1861 edition of Harper's Weekly that I distressed. I added a clock face and some clock works. Using a tapestry needle, I put one pink stitch in the center of a clock piece. Next I drew a cute piggy with a curly pink tail and put 9 black stitches on her body. Then I covered her with a lucite tag and finished it with the quotation.
