sewing
My tag for 'Sewing' has an embroidered quote on one side and on the other I have
machined a little collage.
The quote from Gwen Egg is printed at the beginning of India Flint's superb book
"Second Skin", giving emphasis to our lifelong relationship with cloth and sewing,
which create all human coverings, from birth to death.
"A rectangle of cloth to wrap the baby, make the bed, grace the meal
and honour the guest, to mop up a spill, encircle a waist, screen the
window and admit the breeze, to prelim a cause, to tend a corpse..."
Already viewed wonderful and various tags, looking forward to seeing all the
other contributions from lovely, generous blog friends! Valerie R x
