TALES OF THE RIVER BANK

Searching through my stash for some tiny glimmer of inspiration for this weeks tag I came across this lovely stamp and decided it had to be used!
Here's what I came up with - it will be going to a friend who greatly enjoys sitting on riverbanks doing absolutely nothing (Oh sorry, I meant fishing!).

I picked out the colours in the stamp and wound matching embroidery silks around strips of card.  I attached the stamp with Sticky Fixers to give a 3D effect and hooked a fishing fly through the stamp.

Thanks so much to everyone who left such lovely comments last week - I'm looking forward to seeing all the wonderful river tags this week.

  14. At first glance it looks so simple, and then you realise how much thought has gone into this gorgeous tag. The background is perfect, looks like a sun speckled little brook gurgling past, and the embroidery threads, which almost look like a bridge over the little brook, match the stamp so well. I LOVE it.
