Rock Pools

Hi Everyone from a very hot and sunny Berkshire!
I think summer has come at last.
Great tags last week
Thanks for your comments last week on my tag and the method I used.
For this week's tag I have made a rock surface using tissue paper and decoupage medium. It is the first time I have used the medium, and it was really nice to use. However I did use an awful lot of it, so not something to use all the time! I added grey paint to the medium. Then I added the rubbings of shells I made on tissue paper.
I photographed it on top of my shell collection.
Now I am going to catch up with your tags.

  3. Wow! Super WOW! So beautiful, Jane.
I love the seashore. Your textures and colors just grab me and pull me into the shallows. I can almost reach out and feel them. Your photographing them on a real shell backdrop is also so fun.
Thank you for this mini vacation.
    Hugs,

  10. Hi Jane I love how you have created this textural tag. it reminds me of something you might find when hunting for fossils. Did it take ages to dry like mine did?

  12. Great idea to use wax rubbings of shells; they will fit in your book much easier than my real shells will fit in mine! Jane xx

  14. Thanks for your comments everyone. Helen, I see we worked on similar lines with our tags, although yours is much more complicated than mine! Mine did not take long to dry thanks to the high temperatures and sun we are having at the moment!
