Casino Amusements and Bingo

I was really stuck with what to do this week but then I remembered two wonderful people. The first was my dear departed Mother in law who so enjoyed a game of Bingo and when we were setting up our first home would bring home her winnings of towels and pots and trinkets and give them to us. The second was Beryl Cook who's art is joyously happy and round and colourful. I own all her books and thought of this image, the lady winning so reminds me of Mum!

I used a Tim Holtz stamp to make the cards and the numbers for her winning line, coloured with distress inks and the reason I have three tickets on the bottom is because Mum would always buy in multiples and sit happily multi-tasking all her cards!
Loving all your takes on this theme, have a happy week and I hope Lady Luck visits you in some way or the other! x

  7. This is a fun tag and a wonderful memorial to your Mother-in-law. Your color scheme and design are fabulous too. I have an old 5"x8" print of one of Beryl Cook's ladies that I got as a gift from a girlfriend back in my undergraduate years. I love the whimsy of her work, so I'll need to read about her. Blessings!
