Casino Amusements and Bingo

I decided to challenge myself and make stitched tags for this month's themes (which seem to lend themselves better to paper). I am trying to improve my free form machine stitching skills especially portraits, so I thought I would practise on  tags. Here is my Bingo/Lady Luck  tag. It has an old bingo card printed on cotton fabric, with snippets of  cherry fabric  and a stitched portrait of Lady Luck, complete with crazy cheeks and rather odd lips! I was trying to convey the unpredictability of gambling with erratic stitching!  The whole tag is cloth, and all the marks are stitches.
Just a reminder that I am hosting a blog giveaway - only another 12 hours left to enter ....

  3. I love, love, love your tag. All your stitching and the texture of the fabric add so much character to the tag. I used to sew, but haven't done it in years. I need to pull out my machine to clean and oil, so I can attempt your technique sometime. Happy Birthday and Blessings! Oh, did I tell you I love your tag. LOL!
