My Granny and Grandpa had apple trees in their garden and this is the time of year that they would be ready to pick. The good ones would be carefully stored away and the "windfalls" would be made into apple pies. We children loved to eat the peelings dipped in sugar. The sweet scent of apples still brings those days back to me, and when the house is filled with the warm smell of apple pie in the oven ...well...I just have to close my eyes and it's 1965 again ... I think I'm going to have to go and bake one right now!
Anyway, here's my apple pie inspired tag
It's not quite what I had in mind as I am unable to print anything at the moment, but I had a great time with some old collage images which had being languishing at the back of a drawer in my workroom. The background is a recipe, which I embossed and inked, then I added scraps of gingham and doily and inked again and then more or less covered the whole thing with fruit so you can't see it anyway...but it was fun :)
