Carolyn,
our hostess at Tag Tuesday, http://tagtuesday.blogspot.co.uk/
challenged us this week to make a Tag about ‘Autumn Fruit and Berries’. And
Jenn, our hostess at The Artists Playroom, http://www.justaddwatersilly.com/2012/09/artists-play-room-26.html
has challenged us to make some art entitled ‘Juicy’. So I’m delighted to say that
this piece fit’s both challenges.
I got together some strawberries, cherries, blueberries, grapes
& raspberries and squished them together on a piece of linen, making a
lovely juicy pulpy mess.
I ‘mopped’ up with a sheet of paper which I also rubbed with
a used tea-bag and then I put them to dry. I then printed out my strawberry,
copied it onto my acetate and then coloured the greenery and the seeds. I cut
around the material and the paper with pinking shears, and sandwiched the tie
in-between. Added faux stitching and then stuck the acetate to the front with
ds tape. Et voila.
I’m pleased that some of the fruit pulp & seeds can
still be seen on the material through the acetate and the paper on the back is
wrinkled & pithy.
Thank you for all your lovely comments again last week. I’m
looking forward to seeing all the artwork I haven’t already visited. These are
such colourful themes. Thank you Carolyn & thank you Jenn :0)
ps- I've just realised it smells LOVEly, hahaha
