Hi Folks,
What a lot of fantastic ideas everyone's come up with this week - you're all brilliant!
Here's my version, resting on a copy of Samuel Pepys' Diary, which I realised afterwards was a bit ironic ...
This was yet another great excuse to use this fab Tim Holtz die which I just love, then I had a lot of fun using heat embossing and sandpaper and Stazon inks to "rustify" the pieces before adding them to the tag. The background was a bit of scrap paper which I sanded and gouged and scraped and inked and otherwise abused until it looked a bit more interesting, then I just added a bit of garden string - oh and some stamped letters to make cheapskate mini alphas!
Can't wait to have a proper look at everyone else's creations now ...
See you next week :o)
Great job! Really fits the theme!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag...did you say IRONic? Love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag, you have really aged your pieces well, look like you have left them out in the rain for months! x
ReplyDeleteGreat rusty effects, looks really authentic, Jane xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely piece of work and the 'metallic motif' on the diary sets it off so well.

ReplyDeleteNice tag Annie I like your rusty effects!
ReplyDeleteSuper tag! Carolyn x
ReplyDeleteThis is really good. Certainly 'ironic' as this was what I had intended doing an old keyhole and key. Back to the drawing board methinks. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! Valerie
