Christmas Ornaments

I had fun with some scraps and dies for this week. My Christmas tree is mainly red and gold and so I made this ornament in those colours.

I cut the bauble out of three layers of the protective layer of a box of chocolates so that it had depth, then again in red music paper and then again in red glitter but with JOY cut out and layered them up. the back has a piece that is the reverse of the music paper. Then again \I die cut little holly leaves and glue gunned them with some red gems for berries. The pine leaves were stamped with a little music stamp I own with Barn Door distress ink and a gold bow to finish off.

It has turned out sturdy but light weight and glitters on my tree! Great fun, I have never thought to make ornaments for my tree before but it is so much more fun than buying! Thank you Carolyn,, great idea for this week.
The light was awful to photograph by but I am out in the dark in the morning and home in the dark, so this was on top of my ironing board under the kitchen light! Hope you are all nearly ready?
I am reading an advent calender that was recommended to me called, DO NOTHING CHRISTMAS IS COMING by Stephen Cottrell and it is lovely, he really makes you think about the meaning of Christmas. Have a lovely week everyone, with yuletide love Barb x
