Embroidered C tag |
Just in time ... C is for Callistemon . Callistemon are better known as "Bottlebrushes" - a very common native woody shrub/small tree in Australian gardens, parks and along the sides of roads and streets. The flowers do look like bottlebrushes, red being the most common colour, but different species have flowers which can be mauve, pink, cream or even green. My tag, is an embroidered version of Callistemon citrinus, with reddish flower spikes most of the year round. In our garden, my favourite however, is Callistemon pinifolius which has green flowers in spring.
