Here's my final tag! I wanted it to reflect the whole Tag Tuesday experience as I've seen it. I would primarily refer to myself as a textile artist, but lots of my tags have been line drawings, with colour from pencils or sharpie markers. So for my final tag, I decided to use sharpie markers. I chose a leaf shape, and divided it in half, then added the lettering - Goodbye 2012 and Hello 2013. Inspired by The Wizard of Oz I used black and white for 2012 and colour for 2013.
This year of making tags has been great fun, a real challenge and a springboard for new creative ideas and techniques, so I am looking forward to building on that with my 2013 projects, hence my colourful 2013!
I am planning a crazy patchwork quilt with an American theme, and a puppet a month, which should be plenty to keep me busy! So wishing a happy and creative new year to all you taggers, enjoy your new themes and have fun.
Clever idea for a tag! Best to you in 2013!!
