This week is the letter T,
so I chose Travel.
I decided to do a vintage style tag
and to use the Tim Holtz
Paper Distresser Tool that I had bought
ages ago and had not as yet used.
(Bad I know! And at time I really needed it) :)
I really love the Distresser Tool. It's really easy to use
and yet can give some really effective finishes.
I distressed the edge of the tag with it and loved the way it
gives a kind of roll up edge to the distress finished.
I then run a thick layer of bronze acrylic paint
along the edge with my finger to try and
highlight the effect.
This tool I can see being used a lot now :).
It's simple yet effective.
I love hot air balloon's and was lucky enough
to go up in one for my 21st Birthday (thanks to mum and dad).
These images reminded me of that special trip
and so have been looking forward to using them. :)
I'm a bit behind this week
so am off to see what you guys
have all been up to with your letter T tag's.
Have a good weekend.

You have pulled out all the stops here Jules and it worked. The colours are gorgeous and all the elements blend beautifully. Telling a story in such a little tag is a real art.

ReplyDeleteGreat vintage feel to your tag, Jules. I like the effect of the distresser tool, it really ages it. I also like the placement of the elements coming off the edge of the tag.
