X is for ...

... XERXES I. I have gone historical this week and picked the Persian King XERXES I ( 519 - 465 BC ) for my X-tag. I hand coloured the main figures in an engraving I found on Google. The background is Old Persian writing from a piece called XPa. I imagined that their clothes would have been richly embroidered and colourful, so I used a couple of snippets from an Indian sari fabric for the tag as well -
