The Sixties

I had so many memories that I thought I could make into a tag for this week, the Beatles, Mods, flower power, being a 'Dolly Bird', going on 'Ready Steady Go' -(the weekend starts here!) moon landings, meeting my man, marrying him - all my 60's memories. Then I remembered voluntary overseas work when I thought I could change the world, and my desire for a good world. Then I thought of Martin Luther King who wanted to change the world and his amazing speech and I knew I had to keep the tag simple and dedicate it to him. Fifty years ago this week, when he said:
'I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.'
Amazing speech, amazing man.

Let us all keep that dream alive in our troubled world.
Love to you all x

  8. They showed MLK's speech on TV yesterday, and even after 50 years, it brought us chills. May his dream continue to come a reality in this world. Blessings, my friend!
