Bonjour!
I just love everything about the sixties - I was a child at the time and longed to be a little older so I could join in all the fun! What an era! I remember doodling flowers and writing 'flower power' everywhere - even on the blackboard whilst the teacher was out of the room! So Flower Power it had to be for me this week.
I inked my tag with TH distress stain in Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade and then stencilled with gesso through a flower stencil by Crafters Workshop. I added a selection of paper flowers and ribbon from my stash and cut the hanging tag and words using my craft robo.
Can't wait to see all your groovy contributions!
Love and peace!
Carolyn xx

ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn, I am smiling as your described memory was one I shared. Although we would NOT have dared write on the chalkboard - caning of children was still very much in use here in Australia! But paths, fences and our clothes were a different matter.
ReplyDeleteI spied your tag last night and was working on something else. Subconsciously the wonderful colours have spilled onto my creation in waiting! We'll see where it goes today!
Wonderful 60s tag.
ReplyDeleteFlower Power, yeah baby - LOL! You really captured the light sided feeling of the era with your motifs, prints and color scheme. Blessings!

ReplyDeleteAhh, so wonderful! I adore the colours on your tag, it reminds me of my beloved, bell bottomed trouser suit that I wore at every opportunity, along with my chain belt. Thought I was the bees knees, haha :o)
