Weddings

Oh, I love weddings! When our only child, our daughter Suzanne was married two years ago, she was extremely busy and in her last year of medical School. She asked me to be her wedding planner because I know her taste so well and because I have a lot of experience in organizing large special events. It was a blast. Her colors were rose, pearl, and pewter, and we used lots of pearls and diamonds in the florals and decorations.
To make the Weddings tag, I first used stencils and Gesso on watercolor paper to create the background. When that was dry, I used a picked raspberry distress stain dauber and a baby wipe to get the pretty pink color. The gesso design doesn't hold color well, so I got a cool muted background. I folded it in thirds, and used an exacto knife to cut out the frame in the middle. After I glued the picture of Suzi and Dave on to the trifold tag, I wrote in their names and wedding date. To finish it, I embellished the design with a white marker, a silver marker and lots of faux diamonds and pearls. I photographed the tag on some of my daughter's wedding pictures.
