myths and legends

hello tag friends!  i missed you last week and am glad to be back at it this week.  i've seen some gorgeous tags so far and look forward to seeing more.  as for mine, i've always been fascinated by mermaids and i have a quite a collection of mermaid stamps.  according to wikipedia, a mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish.  mermaids appear in the folklore of cultures all over the world including the near east, europe, africa and asia.

for this tag i used my one and only merman, a stamp from meer image.  i did an alcohol inks polished stone background on the tag, stamped some of my stamps directly on the tag and stamped others on to blue card stock which i then cut and glued to the tag.  i feel inspired to do more underwater fantasy scenes!

i hope everyone has a safe and good week.  love to all.

  9. Michelle one of the aspects to our tag group that I enjoy is seeing people use techniques that jog the memory. Your stone technique had done exactly that for me. Love the blend of image and background. It works so well.
