Myths and Legends

I was quite captivated on my trip to Monhegan Island in Maine several years ago, because in the beautiful Cathedral Woods there is a fairy house village with miniature houses made from moss, twigs, bark and other natural materials.  The houses had so much detail and were really magical.  I decided that a secret garden fairy would fit right in with this week's theme. I placed the fairy in front of a beautiful arched opening in a wall, the perfect setting for a fairy house at the end of the lane.   All the images came from Paper Whimsey.  Here is a close up of the fairy with her wings a-sparkle.

Off to see the other tags!  Thanks for all of your lovely comments.

  2. You really captured the magical feel of fairies in your beautiful tag. Your story reminds me of the scenes in the movie "Saving Mr. Banks," when Emma Thompson's character is building fairy homes out of twigs and leaves. Blessings!
