Hi evreybody!
Another week has sped by, and it's time for Tag Tuesday again, with a nice theme - 'decay', which gives us lots of possibilities.
I took the theme 'death and decay', as this is part of the never ending cycle of life.
I used a photo taken in an old Jewish cemetry in Brandenburg, in the east of Germany. The stone is lopsided, and leaning into the tree, but new growth is coming up to complete the never ending cycle. I used part of the text from'Abide with me', a well-known hymn we used to sing at school when I was a student in London, and which I really like, although I am not a religious person. I kept the tag very simple, just adding a touch of colour with the embellishments.
This week Diane Bove is joining our tagging group, hope you will enjoy your time here, Diane!
Have a great week you all, and thanks for your good wishes for my poor finger last week - it is much better, the stitches come out on Wednesday.
Thanks for coming by!
Valerie
Such a striking tag Valerie. I think it's fabulous and the touch of colour is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm delighted to hear your finger is almost better :o) x
The use of a B&W photograph emphasized the feeling of decay in your tag, but the spray of color in the simple bouquet kept it from looking eerie. I don't believe I've heard that hymn before, but I certainly love the words too. Blessings!
ReplyDeletewow! deep and beautiful. xo
