Shelter/Home

Home represents so many things to me - safety, warmth, love, family, food... We have moved a lot in our 38 years together and we have had many dwellings that we have liked, one we hated and two that we dearly loved. There were too many choices, so I went to my default position for shelter. The only place where I have ever found true safety, unconditional love, and pure joy has been in my relationship with God. I rarely witness or evangelize, preferring and hoping that my life and actions reflect my faith. Anyway, here is my shelter tag. The background is stamped with gesso, then painted and ages with time Holtz products. The little round gold tag that says "God is love" is a metal piece that I stamped with metal dies and a hammer. The wings are stamped and glittered vellum and the picture is my favorite family photo of Bill, Suzi and me from 1990.

  8. Beautifull tag and thoughts. One of our sayings is "Home is Where they love you!" So loving God, ourselves and each other is so important, that way we don't have to go elsewhere to be loved.
    Beautiful tag!
    hugs,
