Hi All, I loved all the beautiful tags last week. This week I am experimenting a bit, I am usually a very neat crafter, but I am trying to let go a bit and be less neat and rigid. So this is my resulting messy school tag. I sprayed it with Glitz Spritz and let the blobs of spray stay where they may, lol. I got a little carried away with the Tim Holtz distress stain, but I have to say, this was fun, very liberating. The images were free from a Gecko Galz blog hop last year. That's it, thanks for sharing and for all the sweet comments. ~Diane
Lovely school tag! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAll the different layers and textures are excellent. The feather is gorgeous :D
ReplyDeleteI love the textural vintage feeling of your tag. The quill was a brilliant touch too. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am trying to loosen up and not be so neat with my creations, Diane. You achieved it admirably in this beautifully designed tag.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I used to look in the maths class. I didn't like it at all. Hilarious really as my first job was in an accounts office and have for the past 35 years done the accounts for our own business
ReplyDeleteFabulous tag. Love the image and the layering.
ReplyDeletegreat tag---I hovered over this image, Diane--but chose something else--we think alike!
ReplyDeletethe texture to this is really fabulous! i'm glad you let yourself go free, you got great results! xo
ReplyDeleteNot messy but marvellous! Love this tag. The poor little girl looks mightily fed up though! Carolyn xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that poor pupil looks thoroughly stuck and not very happy at all. I adore that image, what a brilliant choice for this week's tag.
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY understand getting carried away with Tim Holtz distress inks. It's one of my favorite things, and I too think it's very liberating. Enjoy it. Your tag is GORGEOUS!!!

Hi Diane I think your tag is fantastic - I love the image you chose. It sums up the schoodays of old and then the quill is a perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and great image, she is thinking so hard!
