I used a large tag which I covered in Apple Green Inktense pencil and then wet it down. I mixed a nice shade of pink with my luscious Koh-I-Noor paints and drew some balloons on top of the green but they didn't show up very well so I drew some on card, painted them and then cut them out to layer onto the tag instead. I painted on the strings with a darker green. I stamped some bunting to the top of the tag with pink Pixie Dust ink from Memento, (what a lovely name ~ Pixie Dust). Unfortunately tho', that didn't show up very well either, so I painted over it with the dark green. I used my pink Wink of Stella brush to add some sparkle to the balloons, a ribbon tie, and to add some details on the bunting. I also used it to stamp some tulip heads and then painted some dark green stems onto them. I tried to use matching ribbon for the tag tie.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all the Garden Party entries for this week. Until next time, take care, and be well *hugs* Mo :o) x

So cute and festive!
ReplyDeleteHi Mo, Great tag! Colourful bunting and balloons in a summer garden - all the ingredients of a perfect party.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize, at first, that you were using the Summer of Color scheme for this week, and I was thinking, she could have used this for SOC. I like the simplicity of your plain background and balloons.
ReplyDeleteThanks for viewing my SOC for this week.
Love it! It is such a happy tag which makes me want to party right now ( and its only 9am, lol ).
ReplyDeleteWhat a fresh and pretty tag Mo!
ReplyDeleteI did the same with the color combo--it does make one think of a garden party. Great balloon idea!
