Valentine

Oh, it was so tempting to go with a gorgeous image of a beautiful couple, vintage style, because that is what I love the most. But, I decided instead to go with a soft colour scheme and no image just to see what would happen.

To start with, I embossed one side of a tag. I wanted a shimmery shiny softly coloured background, but didn't  have anything suitable. But whilst rummaging through my painty stuff drawer, I found the bottle which had contained Cosmic Shimmer mist in Sunlight (I had to decant it into something else, because the mister wouldn't work any longer). It had a little left in the bottle so I added a few drops of Cranberry alcohol ink and it turned into the most gorgeous soft old rose colour with a golden shimmer. Loved it, especially as the gold kind of pooled and puddled round the embossed bits, which I then lightly rubbed over with Rose Quartz Treasure Gold. On the plain side, I used little hearts as masks, cut and added some hearts coloured with Treasure Gold in Rose Quartz and Gold and added the words -

Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! Toodlepip xxx
