Just getting this one in before the deadline - first chance I've had to get into my craft room since I came home from the hospital. What a perfect theme this week - Spring really is in the air here, the weather has been beautiful, the birds are getting amorous and the garden is bursting into life.
My tag was inspired by this You Tube video where Helen Allen demonstrates a clever layered stamping technique which was really fun to do. Here's my tag ...
The butterflies were stamped first, then masks cut from sticky notes allowed me to layer the text stamping to create a background. The flower was stamped four times altogether, then cut out and layered up to add some dimension. Helen's video showed how to use Distress Inks like watercolour paint to colour the images, and I also used a sponge applicator to add colour to the background.
Time for a peek at everyone else's Springtime tags now, then I had best get started on the next theme!
