I wasn't sure how to tackle this one, and in the end made two. The sewn one is on a background of fabric printed with my gelli plate and butterflies attached to it. I then sewed some net over the top. I hate the thought of people catching them, but they do.
The other one has a distress ink background with stamped fish and yarn seaweed with some glass type bubbles added as well. I then with great difficulty stuck the net over the top. Unfortunately, lots of the wrong fish are caught in nets and are often not thrown back in the sea.

Love your tags Wendy! Beautiful! Yes, it's unfortunate that the wrong creatures get caught in nets and long lines. So sad.....I don't even like looking at the butterflies that were caught eons ago and are now on display at museums.
ReplyDeleteBoth tags are great, and it's always sad about the creatures that get trapped in those nets. Hugs, Vaerie
