I added some embossed roses and a landscape scene at dusk that I salvaged from some antique postcards. The roses are exactly what I think of when I hear the word, pastel.
All the lace I used is vintage; I love the soft lavender of the rescued lace "curtain" above the landscape scene. The tatting I used on the bottom of the tag is nicely aged and goes well with the frills on the paper.
I chose a pale pink etched button that I thought continued the spirals of the script background, and the round yellow flowers on the paper.
Also, some pale yellow buttons in a row. The ribbon is some I had hand-stitched to gather so it looks "ruffly." The bottom of the tag is decorated with pink crepe ribbon.
Lovely tag, hugs, Valerie

Hi Laurie
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colours of the roses - yes, I think of flowers just like these when I think of pastels, too.
It is gorgeous, lovely Victorian style and elements.
