Letter W & V

Oops! I am late this week and missed last weeks tag
so I have two tags to show.
(I made the tags but was unable to post them! Sorry!)

So last week was the Letter V,
so I chose Violin.

The Violin was a shape I bought to cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

This week is the Letter W,
so i chose Welding.

I used one of my new and much loved embossing folders
from Tim Holtz : Riveted Metal.
It looks welded & riveted to me :)

I covered the tag with some DIY metal tape and then
run it though my Cuttlebug with the embossing folder
I used a blue acrylic paint to dry brush with
over the tag to bring out the detail

The butterflies are done the same way but painted
solid black to stand out more against the blue tag
I used Ultramarine Gilding Wax to bring out the
detail on the two butterflies.
I love how the gilding wax have a green teal colour to them
when used on the black, yet on the silver it was a lovely strong blue
It was the first time I had used the gilding wax.
I found them really simple to use and they give a
great finishing touch to you projects.

Right I'm off to see everyones V&W tags.
Thanks for looking

Jules :)

  10. I like both tags, but my absolute favorite one is the steampunk butterflies tag. The color palette is fresh, and your embossing worked beautifully. Blessings!
