Well, we are nearly there! X was a great challenge to keep in my theme until I thought of x for kisses and thought you may all like a list of aphrodisiac oils, just incase if you know what I mean? They include Angelica, Aniseed, Basil,Black Pepper, Cardamom,Celery, Ginger, Jasmine, Juniper, Nutmeg, Neroli, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Verbena, Violet and Ylang Ylang. Not all at once tho', I couldn't be responsible for the consequences! There is a nice choice there, some more manly smells like Sandalwood or Ginger, but plenty of feminine floral aromas! Burn them in your room freshener and ooh la la!
I decided to make my tag as if some lady had hidden her locket and love letters in her undies drawer, perhaps they are war-time sweethearts, the photo's I found remind me of my Auntie Barbara who was a GI bride and left East London for sunny California on the Queen Mary after the war. I'm sure she had a pile of love letters before she met up with Uncle Woodrow again!
The tag was make out of some pink patterned card stock and I adhered a piece of lace in the middle. The locket was a charity shop find and then I made up a piece of love letter with xxx's on the bottom and a pile of letters on top. The X's are grungeboard die cuts coloured with distressed pain and I found a lips stamp I forgot I had. I have been with my dear husband for 46 years and I still have the letters we wrote to each other when I did some aid work, they are tied with blue ribbon and I wouldn't part with them for the world. It seems to be a thing of the past though doesn't? At least there is an X on the quwerty board, so here is one for all of you! X
Love every bit!! My fave color too!

ReplyDeleteDelightful tag and a delightful story. My hubby and I wrote stacks of love letters as well. Kids today are missing out on something very special. Do you watch "As Time Goes By?" I've seen them all. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story to go with your tag. It does look like a little keepsake that would be tucked away. I may have to mark this post for my upcoming anniversary too. ;)
