Letter Z And My First Post At Tag Tuesday!

Hello everyone, I'm so pleased to be here at long last! I was going to wait until the start of July to join in but I was too excited and wanted to play now. . . . . . . . . . .

For my letter Z I have chosen the word Zip. A little obvious perhaps but in my former life I taught Textiles for over 23 years so I just couldn't resist using it.

Here's my tag - I hope you like it:

For once the sun was shining here and it was difficult not to take a photo that was completely bleached out! I've used scraps of a gelli plate print in a patchwork design for the top layer - each scrap was glued onto grunge paper then the joins covered with zig zag stitch.

The zip does work which was important for me to achieve. I didn't want to cheat on my first time here!
