This past weekend, I worked on a tag using most of the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 techniques, and felt my original design fit these week's theme perfectly. I was inspired by Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Various elements in my design represent different parts in the Bible verse's meaning:
- The black gear represents the decay of our hearts
- The green background represents rebirth
- The shiny foil hearts represent the pure heart
- The light bulb represents God
- The "R" type charm stands for renew
- The pocket watches in the embossed background and the gears represent the steadfast soul
- The number series ending in 7 is a reference to its association with completion and perfection
I want to thank everyone who took the time to leave a comment on my tag last week. Your comments mean a lot to me and truly encourage me to continue in my artistic journey. Blessings!
